This is Wlsa City Club CTC and we are going to host a offline Urban Orienting Comptetition on March 12th!✨ What is Urban Orienting / WCR? Urban Orienting is an activity to travel around a part of our city, following the instructions from the clues to work out different challenges ASAP. Our comptetion *Wlsa City Rush* was inspired by the American show *The Amazing Race* and the NGO “City Run Project” (you can check it from baidu). In other words, to attend WCR, you need to be a team of 2 people both between G9-G12. You will get a clue first. After finishing the challenge on the club, you will get another one to point out where to go next. There will also be "Roadblock Clue" that requires only one of the team member to compete and "Detour Clue" that requires you to choose from 2 places / challenges. Specific rules will be posted later in our wechat platform "wlsa_ctc", About WCR S1... THEME: The Arbor Day! The comp will start about 9:30 from the tropical exhibition greenhouse 2 in Shanghai Botanical Garden. For fairness & environment protection, this time we will ban the using of bikes & taxis. Each team will be equipped with a staff to follow, take photos and determine whether you finish the challenges (sometimes). Also, social media is not allowed to use except for required. The comptetion will finish early in since we will have class next day (Monday). Cost: Around 40 yuan/person. Welcome to the world of WLSA CCA. ​ In the 10 years that WLSA Shanghai has been in operation, the school has created endless possibilities for students to grow and develop through thoughtful, practical, and creative activities. WLSA High School now has over 70 in-depth student clubs with a wide range of activities that focus on students' interests and are guided by teachers who specialize in that area. Students can share the school's existing teams and clubs, or create their clubs. Each year, the WLSA organizes a recruitment meeting, a sports carnival, a school forum, and other special events in conjunction with student clubs and the student government to encourage students to be physically active, care for others, and to promote teamwork. WLSA student clubs cover a wide range of areas including academics, sports, arts, and volunteerism. In the academic area, there are several student-run clubs in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and economics, which have won many international competitions; in the athletic area, there are more than ten sports clubs such as basketball, soccer, badminton, and table tennis, which have won various competitions; in the artistic area, there are calligraphy, folk music, symphony, dance, painting, and musical theatre. WLSA is committed to fostering a sense of giving back to the community and creating a positive impact on the community, and students form volunteer clubs to serve various groups and actively participate in various social activities. Club Overview ​ Move your mouse over the Club Overview and multiple lists of dates will appear. 2021-2022 represents the list of clubs for the academic year from September 2021 to June 2022, and so on. The lists in each academic year will be labelled explicitly as Baoshan or Zhengxi so that students can quickly find the basic information of each CCA and contact the CCA leaders they want to contact. ​ If Baoshan CCA leaders would like to contact Zhengxi CCA leaders yet do not have a communication channel, please contact Zhengxi Student Union at wsu@wlsafoundatuon.com . ​ If Zhengxi CCA leaders want to contact Baoshan CCA leaders yet do not have a communication channel, please contact the president of Baoshan Student Union (Angelina Fang) at 1204612792@qq.com .
