Club Activities Planned for 2023-24 S1:
Introduce basic and advanced knowledge of astronomy in a relaxed form of popular science. At the same time, through small tests and quiz competition, to mobilize the enthusiasm of members. Specifically, I will give small lectures on basic astronomy and cosmology base on textbooks and online resources; after that, small quizzes would be provided to make sure everyone can understand and participate.
Invite members to give speeches on special astronomical topics they are interested in or they want to share. The topics can be related to any parts of astronomy, astrophysics or any related subjects.
Run the official Wechat account and spread the knowledge gained in the club to other students. Release sky forecast, introduction of various celestial bodies, tips, astronomy news, etc.
Hold activities, such as the simplest but also the most amazing astronomical event, the star gazing night. This needs spaces, times and equipment; so preparation must be done before it.
